It is in the old Iglesia de la Encarnación built in the 16th century, on top of the old Arab fort of the 13th century, located in the Castle. It presented three separate naves with semicircular arches mounted on pillars and possesses a tower of unmistakeable Mudejar tradition.
In July 2010, after various reforms, it was opened as the Blas Infante Cultural Centre. Here, we can find, as well as the impressive architecture of the monumental site, various permanent exhibitions from the history of Casares up to the present day, related to ethno-history and archaeology. It also allows us to enjoy the unbeatable views of the surroundings through the views from its bell-tower and the lookouts that are located in its highest point.
By being a Cultural Centre, it offers the option to hold plays, concerts, talks, etc., with a capacity of approximately 200 people. It also has a Tourist Information point inside and guided visits through the building’s interior.
